Q: Are these recipes in violation of Copyright Law?
A: Mere listings of ingredients as in recipes, formulas, compounds, or prescriptions are not subject to copyright protection. However, when a recipe or formula is accompanied by substantial literary expression in the form of an explanation or directions. What this means is that the list of ingredients is not copyrightable, but when accompanied by instructions written by an individual can be copyrighted, which is what we have done in our cookbooks. We have rewritten the directions in a way we feel are very simple and easy to follow.
Q: How do you make your Cookbooks?
A: We make our Cookbooks with the highest quality materials so that they will last. We use high grade laser paper, we print using laser technology that does not run and is water resistant. All books are bound using spiral bindings because they allow the book to lay flat on the counter while preparing and cooking your meals.
